Ursa Major

Posted by Bill Ault (GBA, Canada) on 15 February 2012 in Landscape & Rural.

Ursa Major (the Big Dipper) appears above the trees on a winter's night. Playing with the long exposures again... thankfully the days are getting noticeably longer and the days warmer and the light shall soon return :)

a wonderfully 'blue' shot ... how come the stars come across as dots and not as blurred lines at 20 sec exposure?

@franz: I'm guessing and I've been asked before I believe it is because of the shorter lens and the wide view...
