@Betty: Thanks Betty - the sun wasn't as low as I would have liked but the shadows definitely help the image.

I think this processing treatment adds some mystery and effect missing in the color photo...

@Earnest: I actual shot this one and some others in b&w the post processing included sharpening, boosting the highlights and shadows. I wish I'd had my polarizing filter with me (just picked it up the other day) I'm quite taken with what it does when shooting in strong sunlight and think it might have helped these a bit. Ah well next time.
