Hi Bill, thats must be pretty lonely for one tree there.... I think it's a good shot, that actually looks like a painting.

@Observing: yes - I think it became almost impressionistic more through good luck than anything...

Lovely soft colors. I wonder if cropping down the sky a little would emphasize that tree even more. Just a thought.

@GJC: It does I just tried it again but I think it diminishes the solitude effect a bit as well so it is a bit of a trade off...

I can see why you took this one, Bill... it's extremely difficult to capture the lighting that I see here and be satisfied with it in the photo. You did well but it must have been fantastic to the naked eye.

@Earnest: It's that golden colour across the top of the corn it only lasts for a few moments and the angle has to be just right I've got a couple that are close but not quite there..
