This is well exposed across the picture plane, and I like the subject quite a bit. The fence has real character. I wonder if an additional shot might place the fence somewhere else besides right in the middle. How about backing up a little and maybe taking it to the left or right -- or maybe using a higher or lower foreground. Try different things and see what you get. That's not to say this isn't a good photo -- it is -- but also to see what else might emerge from it.

@GJC: I was boxed in a bit by cedar trees on both sides but now that you mention it they might have made for some interesting framing and allowed me to offset the fence... multiple exposures, multiple angles, multiple distances... my wife thinks my walks take a while now ;-)
