Forest of Rays

Posted by Bill Ault (GBA, Canada) on 12 September 2008 in Landscape & Rural.

A recent morning of country fog - one more sign that fall is upon us - allowed me to play a bit with the fog and exposures etc. not quite the result I'd hoped for but close. Any tips on getting the rays to show would be appreciated.

You captured the rays of light really well, Bill. I see this type of scene on my way to work, I would love to stop and get some shot... but never do. I would appreciate any tips, also.

@Betty: it's a great thing to see and it happens regularly but I can't seem to get it quite right - agai I guess it domes down to the human eye but I have seen some very good captures of this and I'd like to know how they accomplish it

@Pavla: Grand morning one of those late summer / early fall days when you get great sunshine, blue skies but the humidity has finally dropped away...

Lovely. Really fine shot.

@GJC: thanks but I still feel there was a little more there that I didn't quite get...
