GJC from Kyoto, Japan

Super shot! I love these kind of photos with a sense of simplicity wrapped by a mystery. Thanks for sharing.

@GJC: You're welcome. Funny thing is I wasn't sure about it put it up and took it down off the site once but it grew on me.

Laura from Eindhoven, Netherlands

Great shot with very nice colours!

@Laura: thanks Laura the colours I did push a bit but in the end I think they are just about right

@Betty: thanks Betty

This is beautiful, for some reason I feel drawn to the grass forward in the picture, it adds to the placement of the elm. I expected to see at least 20 comments when I first viewed! Would make a nice poster with a calming message at the bottom.

@Denise: The grass was important like you I'm not sure why but the image needs it as I looked at it numerous times to get the crop right. As it often is the foreground really adds to the shot I think.

One from Açores, Portugal

Good work, beautiful composition, really good shot!

@One: thanks one - the composition just sort of happened a little cropping of the foreground but besides that this one just kind of happened with the shape of the elm kind of dictating things

DarkElf from Perth, Australia

great mysterious mood - lovely composition too to keep the tree off center - it really works well here!
