GJC from Kyoto, JapanSuper shot! I love these kind of photos with a sense of simplicity wrapped by a mystery. Thanks for sharing. 13 Sep 2008 8:25am @GJC: You're welcome. Funny thing is I wasn't sure about it put it up and took it down off the site once but it grew on me. @Laura: thanks Laura the colours I did push a bit but in the end I think they are just about right @Betty: thanks Betty Denise from Perry, United StatesThis is beautiful, for some reason I feel drawn to the grass forward in the picture, it adds to the placement of the elm. I expected to see at least 20 comments when I first viewed! Would make a nice poster with a calming message at the bottom. 14 Sep 2008 1:19am @Denise: The grass was important like you I'm not sure why but the image needs it as I looked at it numerous times to get the crop right. As it often is the foreground really adds to the shot I think. @One: thanks one - the composition just sort of happened a little cropping of the foreground but besides that this one just kind of happened with the shape of the elm kind of dictating things DarkElf from Perth, Australiagreat mysterious mood - lovely composition too to keep the tree off center - it really works well here! 14 Sep 2008 1:18pm @DarkElf: thanks as above the tree made me do it ;-) |
