First Frost I

Posted by Bill Ault (GBA, Canada) on 20 September 2008 in Plant & Nature.

Our first frost of the fall - earliest one I can remember in a while. This one turned out not quite as sharp as I would have liked but there will be other opportunities....

Wonderful imagery!

@Craig: thanks Craig

Betty from New Jersey, United States

A beautiful composition... but it seems too soon for frost. Our lowest temp so far is today - 43 degrees.

@Betty: Yes well all things come earlier farther north - including the cold - although since this day we've not had another frost and our highs have been in the low 70s.

MaryP from Aberdeenshire, United Kingdom

Very nice image, good light and composition. As you say, not quite sharp enough. Still good to look at though.

@MaryP: Yes I'll have to see if I can sharpen it up on the next frost ;-)

Earnest from Oklahoma, United States

It's really excellent... keep the cool air up there for a while please.

@Earnest: We'll do our best but I don't think it will be a problem it has been significantly warmer since.
