@Betty: It was definitely a heavy frost - tomorrow's image is a close up of a thistle head that shows just how heavy. Thanks sometimes standing in a frosty field for a hour or two is worth it ;-)

Gorgeous shot, this is how geese should be shown, in V formation. And that frozen landscape is lovely.

Bill, that's a really beautiful photo. Those geese are strung out a long way this year. I was out yesterday when a long formation of them flew east over my house and over me - about a half mile away. I guess they were stopping at the local lake for a rest...

@Vinman: They work pretty cheap around here - the competition in the goose modeling market has driven rates way down...
