Seasonal Confusion

Winter arrived yesterday.... well temporarily at least (much more snow to the east of us almost 15 cm (6 inches)) should be gone tomorrow and definitely by Friday when the forecast is calling for 13 C (56 F)... ah the seasons in Canada....

Mary from Richfield, United States

Beautiful Bill !! 2 seasons together :) Love the yellow background and the vertical presentation.( We only got the snow showers but the Poconos Mountains got 16 inches WOW!)

@Mary: Thanks Mary - just to the east of us further up the St. Lawrence Valley they got 4-5 inches of the heavy, wet variety... the lines of the trees really made the image for me.

Giovanni from Milan, Italy

Beautiful shot! Love the colours and the framing. Very well done!

@Giovanni: Thanks Giovanni..

Observing from West Cheshire, United Kingdom

Beautiful shot the snow on the trees indicates that there was windy conditions too.

13C..... that's mild and spring like. The UK is 5C and take a look here, http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/devon/7700167.stm

@Observing: It was definitely windy gusts of up to 70 km/h driving sticky stuff... WOW that's a lot of hail. Just readaing Thomas L. Friedman's latest - Hot, Flat and Crowded - and the term he uses for the weather changes we are seeing is very appropriate, he calls it Global Weirding....

Earnest from Oklahoma, United States

What a blaze of color... !! (keep that cool air up there for a while)

@Earnest: We'll do our best but the last couple of days since it has reached 13+ C (56F) and is supposed to be even warmer next week - as mentioned above Global Weirding...
