The local conservation area has a chickadee feeding station and the little guys are definitely up to the task! Literally they will eat out of the palm of your hand....

@Betty: Black Bears would certainly make short work of a bird feeder... what I love about them is they so like to eat from your hand, your hat, your tripod... wherever you put the seed...

@JJ: fabulous place - 10 minutes form the city, sugar bush, lots of trails and I'd say after recce a good possibility of a picturesque waterfall come spring...

Magnificent. The sharpness is terrific, but my favorite is the range of complementary colors, from the seed to the bird to the sliver of light blue in the back. Such a fine shot.
